Well, when I signed off at the end of last year I never expected it would be almost three months before I’d be posting on the blog again! An unexpected hospitalisation and a back operation in the new year (and three large screws now supporting my vertebrae), I’m finally back at work.
So, here’s the best of what I read, watched and listened to this week….
We’re approaching the first anniversary of lockdown #1 and I’ve found recently that I’ve been reflecting more often about what life was like pre-pandemic. So this first post by time management expert Laura Vanderkam reflecting on her journal entries a year ago really resonated with me. [3 min read]
Since moving to France nearly 14 years ago, we’ve owned Pyrenean Mountain dogs. Previously, we’d always owned gun dogs, so it was a bit of a learning curve getting used to some of their peculiar habits. Their distant Mongolian cousins, the bankhar, were almost wiped out during the Soviet era but are now slowly making a comeback.
